Quest Overview

House Mhoire wants to take the offensive against Geraine.

Important: You must have completed the Mhoire Infiltration Quest before starting this quest.
Note: You can complete the books in any order, however you cannot obtain the rewards for later books until you have completed the first 4 books.
Note: 7 Hearts were added to this Quest as part of the Wayward Prince update.
Note: There is no pickup timer on the hearts.
Note: Once you have acquired all 7 hearts the backpack they reside in gets renamed to "Contents of Corpse of Geraine".
Important: If you wish the Mhoire Lieutenant NPC to spawn in Wai Jhou then all 7 hearts must be turned in within the 10 minute timer on the Hearts, this means that a full 7 host sync kill must take place. All 7 hearts do not need to be turned in by the same person.
After a 5 day period the Mhoire Lieutenant will despawn, during The Risen Princess event the Mhoire Lieutenant's timer was adjusted and he now persists in the world longer and is not as stingy at giving out titles. If you lifestone tie or have a portal tie in Wai Jhou you should make it to the Lieutenant in time to receive the titles.

Walk Through

Speak with the Mhoire Soldier in the Graveyard recall bunker, right next to the NPC for the Mhoire Infiltration Quest.

Fiery Refuge (Book 1)

From Singularity Caul, run to the Fiery Refuge at 95.3S, 94.1W (located in the Caulcano).
- Note: Dungeon is a hot drop.
From the drop, take the east ramp down, and head south until you reach a room with several floating platforms.
Use the platforms (shift + jump) to reach the ledge at the top, and continue heading south until you reach Geraine.
Kill Geraine, and loot Geraine's Tome (1) from his corpse.
- Note: The slayer can also loot Geraine's Still Beating Heart, which is on a 10 minute expiration timer.
Return Geraine's Tome (1) and (Geraine's Still Beating Heart) to the Mhoire Soldier for your reward. If you are part of a simultaneous heart turn in go quickly to the Mhoire Lieutenant in Wai Jhou for the title: "Fiery Spirit".

Charged Refuge (Book 2)

Enter the Charged Refuge, located at 86.8S, 10.5E.
- Route: From Arwic, take the Artifice Cottages portal at 32.9N 59.6E and run to 86.8S, 10.5E.
- Note: Dungeon is a hot drop.
Hug the left wall until you find a down ramp, which leads to a large room with Geraine inside.
Kill Geraine, and loot Geraine's Tome (2) from his corpse.
- Note: The slayer can also loot Geraine's Puncutred Heart, which is on a 10 minute expiration timer.
Return Geraine's Tome (2) and (Geraine's Puncutred Heart) to the Mhoire Soldier for your reward.If you are part of a simultaneous heart turn in go quickly to the Mhoire Lieutenant in Wai Jhou for the title: "Shocking Disposition".

Frozen Refuge (Book 3)

From Eastwatch run to the Frozen Refuge at 93.9N, 45.4W.
From the drop, run straight to the first ledge, and "tap jump" diagonally to the opening on the left hand side.
Take the hallway to the right and run straight to the next ledge. Tap jump to the right side.
...
At the last jump, you will need to jump straight across (not diagonal) across the pit.
- Note: Make sure you have full health when making this jump. You will take massive cold damage when jumping across this pit.
Continue around the corner and up the ramp until you reach a room with Geraine inside.
- Important: Make sure everyone is at the end before attacking Geraine, as the doors close once he is attacked.
- Tip: Have two people hold the doors, and have one person drag Geraine down the hallway. Once he is beyond the doors, your party can back down the hallway, leaving the spawn behind.
Once attacked, several protectors will spawn, including Wight Sorcerers, Wight Captains, and Glacial Guards.
- Note: The slayer can also loot Geraine's Crushed Heart, which is on a 10 minute expiration timer.
Return Geraine's Tome (3) and (Geraine's Crushed Heart) to the Mhoire Soldier for your reward. If you are part of a simultaneous heart turn in go quickly to the Mhoire Lieutenant in Wai Jhou for the title: "Icy Veins".

Acidic Refuge (Book 4)

Head to the Acidic Refuge, at 59.0N, 65.8E (just west of Black Death Catacombs).
- Route: Take the Olthoi Lands Portal Device at your mansion to Black Death Catacombs, and run west to 59.0N, 65.8E.
From the drop, take the first right, and follow the linear dungeon to the end.
- Note: There are two acid pools that do a good deal of damage. Jump across and take the ramps up as quick as possible.
Eventually you will come to Geraine, who is standing down in the acid.
- Note 1: There is no ramp out of this pool and no safe floor.
- Note 2: Once you attack Geraine, the doors will close, but you can still perch. The floor does rather high damage, so melees either need to stock up on kits and potions, or have a designated healer.
Kill Geraine, and loot Geraine's Tome (4) from his corpse.
- Note: The slayer can also loot Geraine's Halved Heart, which is on a 10 minute expiration timer.
Return Geraine's Tome (4) and (Geraine's Halved Heart) to the Mhoire Soldier for your reward.
- Note: At this point, if you have collected the first four books, you can return them to the Mhoire Solider in Graveyard for a reward. If you are part of a simultaneous heart turn in go quickly to the Mhoire Lieutenant in Wai Jhou for the title: "Acidic Soul".

Cavernous Refuge (Book 5)

Head to the Cavernous Refuge, located at 7.3S, 13.4E.
- Route: From Al-Jalima, take the Jackcat Canyon settlement portal at 5.7N, 4.3E. Immediately head east to 0.3N, 9.3E and gain access to the mountain top, then run to 7.3S, 13.4E.
- This dungeon is one of the few which has a safe drop
Take any of the 4 paths down until you come to a ledge (no monsters for this part)
Geraine and his minions are located in the pit below.
- Note 1: This Geraine is Undead, not human.
- Note 2: There are Embers at the bottom of the dungeon that cannot be attacked. They will shoot random Flame Waves which are deadly.
- Note 3: The floor casts random lighting ring spells.
Kill Geraine (Undead) and loot Geraine's Tome (5) from his corpse. The slayer may also loot Geraine's Decaying Heart from the corpse.
- Tip 1: Before attacking Geraine, jump down and stand on his head. This will keep you off the floor, and you will naturally evade the flame waves and electric rings.
- Tip 2: Debuff Geraine's attack skill quickly, as he can one-hit you with his melee (bludgeon) attacks. If you are part of a simultaneous heart turn in go quickly to the Mhoire Lieutenant in Wai Jhou the for title: "Grounded Morals".

Shadowy Refuge (Book 6)

From Tou-Tou, run to the Shadowy Refuge at 26.8S, 96.0E.
- This dungeon has a hot drop, and is full of void-casting shadows.
From the drop, head SW until you reach a pit.
Jump across the pit (you can't see the ledge but its there).
- Note: If you fall into the pit, you can easily Shift+Jump back up onto the ledge.
Head south and jump into the next pit, where you will find Geraine (Shadow).
- Note 1: Attacking Geraine also spawns Formless Shadows and Tenebrous Guards.
- Note 3: The shadows can move through doors.
Kill Geraine and loot Geraine's Tome (6) from his corpse.
- Note: The slayer can also loot Geraine's Blackened Heart, which is on a 10 minute expiration timer.
- Tip 1: Shadow slayer works on Geraine (Shadow)
- Tip 2: Kill Formless Shadows first, they are easy to kill and do the most damage.
- Tip 3: Perch healers on the ledge before the jump, and drag Geraine out toward them.
Return Geraine's Tome (6) and (Geraine's Blackened Heart) to the Mhoire Soldier for your reward. If you are part of a simultaneous heart turn in go quickly to the Mhoire Lieutenant in Wai Jhou for the title: "Darkened Heart".

Twisted Refuge (Book 7)

From the Center of the Obsidian Plains, run to the Twisted Refuge at 62.7S 64.9W.
- Route: Use the Dangerous Portal Device at your mansion.
- Note: This dungeon has no monsters in it, and has a safe drop.
From the drop, head North, and take your first left, then first right, and then first left again.
Run down a ramp and jump into the pit in front of you.
Head East out of the pit, pass the next pit (don't jump in it), and then take your first left, up a ramp.
You will come to a room with platforms and portals. One of the platforms is holding Geraine (Undead).
- Note: If you miss, you will be portalled into the center of the Graveyard, at 65.6S, 44.1W.
- Tip: Because the doors close when you attack Geraine, you may also wish to camp bows/mages in the door. This will allow people to get back if they die. The door will open up after approx. 30-35 minutes.
Attack Geraine (Undead) until he portals away (similar to Aerbax).
- Note: When you attack, Geraine will summon a variety of elemental defenders onto each on different platforms; Kill them.
- Tip: It is recommended that you NOT jump around with Geraine. Simply have ranged attackers kill him. If you move to lower platforms, other mobs will jump down at you and it is VERY easy to get overwhelmed.
Once he portals, Geraine will spawn a crystal of each element (Acid Crystal, Ice Crystal, Fire Crystal, Electric Crystal) on each platform:
- Note: Bludgeon works on all the crystals and they die fairly quickly.
After killing the crystals, Geraine will appear again on one of the 4 platforms.
- Note: Each of the 4 times Geraine appears, he is at 100% health, but with lower max health (200,000, 166,000, 133,000, 100,000).
Repeat this process, until finally, you kill Geraine (Undead) and loot Geraine's Tome (7) from his corpse.
- Note: The slayer can also loot Geraine's Rotting Heart, which is on a 10 minute expiration timer.
Return Geraine's Tome (7) and (Geraine's Rotting Heart) to the Mhoire Soldier for your reward. If you are part of a simultaneous heart turn in go quickly to the Mhoire Lieutenant in Wai Jhou for the title: "The True Emperor".

Notes

During The Risen Princess event the Mhoire Lieutenant's timer was adjusted and he now persists in world longer and is not as stingy at giving out titles.
During the Wayward Prince event, each Geraine drops a heart. These hearts were used to unlock the Mhoire Lieutenant NPC.
Leafcull was the 1st server to complete this quest and activate the Mhoire Lieutenant.

There does not seem to be any level restriction on using the Mhoire Lieutenant to acquire the Vigor of Mhoire +20 Health buff.
