Character Summary Levistras Race: Virindi Associated Groups: New Directive Eras Active: Portal Year Era

"Levistras, the Speaker of the New Directive, was a rogue Virindi Director who sought to create a New Singularity in Dereth.

Levistras was a Virindi Director who had been on Dereth for quite some time, long enough to give itself a name. It began to form an agenda of its own. It saw humans as both a threat and as its salvation. With its newfound autonomy, Levistras entertained the notion of breaking free from the Quiddity and forming its own home, its own Singularity, in the realm.

Levistras helped several other Directors make a significant break from the Virindi unity. This rebellion was made possible with the help of the Isparians, at the time when they were rallying themselves to defeat Ilservian Palacost. Levistras came into contact with Asheron and they came to an agreement. Levistras would provide Asheron's with access to the facility in which t a small fragment of the Singularity was kept, which makes it possible for the Virindi to manifest and use their energies in this realm. The Isparians stole a piece of the fragment and Asheron used its energies to strike a critically weakening blow against the Ilservian Palacost. The theft of the Singularity gave Levistras another idea, that it would somehow be possible to establish a separate Singularity in this realm, from which it and the other rebels could draw their power.

In Portal Year 12, during the The Rise of the New Singularity Story Arc, he and other Virindi Directors rebelled against the Singularity, the core of Virindi existence in portal space. They called themselves the New Directive and determined to keep their individuality at all costs.

The resulting war between their minions and Virindi forces loyal to the Singularity nearly destroyed Isparian civilization on Dereth. The Singularity sought to wipe Dereth clean of life to ensure that this never occurred again, and the New Directive's goal of creating a New Singularity would have destroyed Dereth as we know it.

In the end, the Virindi were no match for Isparian strength. With the assistance of Ecorto the Lost Director, who was instigated by Candeth Martine, Isparians stormed the Seat of the New Singularity and slew Levistras."
